Long Winter Fun!

It's now well into 2011. The Kiehl family has been busy. Shawn has now been at Walmart in Excelsior Springs for about four months. We are so thankful that he is working. Praise the Lord! He is actively looking for full time but nothing seems to come his way. I of course am always looking for him. It is so frustrating when you have a teaching degree and you don't get any calls for any good jobs. We even have revamped his resume thanks to my cousin Jaime. I am hard at work at Job Corps still. I have a wonderful job that is really flexible with my family. The last two months we have been working on the house. We have put an outdoor light up, fix the hose on the kitchen sink, sealer around the tub, organized the laundry area, rearranged things, rearranage again, got a new King size bed, spare bedroom in the works.. now we are choosing paint. that's a chore with an art major husband. I tell him all the time... woman are good at home decorating and style NOT MEN!!! He always want to put his two cents in.. imagine that. :-)

We are gearing up for Emory's 3rd Birthday. Can you believe this little one will be 3 at the end of March. We are planning an elephant/pink/grey theme... This will be the first birthday at our house.

We spent many days at the pool this summer. We recently bought a new house in Excelsior Springs. In this community they don't have public pool or sprinkler. We are really going to have to adventure down to Liberty more often next summer. Happy Labor Day Weekend my friends and family!

So I was talking to my brother last night on the phone. We were discussing his wedding plans and what he would like to have in his program. We both said at the same time we want something in there to remember Grandpa Homuth. Thought I'd put one of my favorite pictures up of my grandpa & my brother Nick. Up and Running Again!

We offically got the internet back in our home. We thought we had been with out it long enough- 2 years. wow!!! Sometimes having the internet at home isn't useful due to us both being on it at our jobs. We recently bought a new home up in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and we are updating/upgrading our lives. Since we moved away from the city we now can fit it into our budget b/c our lifestyle has shifted. Enough said. Well I will start posting again. Yeah! I believe there is like three people that read this. Happy Weekend from the Kiehl Family!

Sorry for the Delay!

I apologize for not blogging lately. Here are some reason why I haven't bee up to date.
1. Christmas/Holidays
2. My grandpa passed away on January 6, 2010 at the age of 80.
3. Family in town
4. Snow and more snow in Kansas City
5. My job blocked from getting into blogging and social networking sites. (frustrating)

Hopefully I can post a few pictures of the past month.

Sunday morning we finished up with Christmas pictures.... out to breakfast we went! Trying to keep Emory preoccupied we started to color while waiting for breakfast. Emory just might follow in her daddy's footstep and love art! Happy December!

Shawn, Emory and I will be out for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We are heading up to Atchison, Kansas on Thursday, plaza lights Thursday evening, shopping on Friday (see how many bargins I can score), catch up on some movies and spend time with family. I am so very thankful that the Lord as provided for me and my family. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

It's Snowing!!!!

Last night was our first snow fall in Kansas City. Emory and I pulled out our hats, gloves and mittens. Our little girl is in love with hats right now. We hope in the morning it's enough snow we can go sledding. Happy Snow Day!
