It's now well into 2011. The Kiehl family has been busy. Shawn has now been at Walmart in Excelsior Springs for about four months. We are so thankful that he is working. Praise the Lord! He is actively looking for full time but nothing seems to come his way. I of course am always looking for him. It is so frustrating when you have a teaching degree and you don't get any calls for any good jobs. We even have revamped his resume thanks to my cousin Jaime. I am hard at work at Job Corps still. I have a wonderful job that is really flexible with my family. The last two months we have been working on the house. We have put an outdoor light up, fix the hose on the kitchen sink, sealer around the tub, organized the laundry area, rearranged things, rearranage again, got a new King size bed, spare bedroom in the works.. now we are choosing paint. that's a chore with an art major husband. I tell him all the time... woman are good at home decorating and style NOT MEN!!! He always want to put his two cents in.. imagine that. :-)

We are gearing up for Emory's 3rd Birthday. Can you believe this little one will be 3 at the end of March. We are planning an elephant/pink/grey theme... This will be the first birthday at our house.

We offically got the internet back in our home. We thought we had been with out it long enough- 2 years. wow!!! Sometimes having the internet at home isn't useful due to us both being on it at our jobs. We recently bought a new home up in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and we are updating/upgrading our lives. Since we moved away from the city we now can fit it into our budget b/c our lifestyle has shifted. Enough said. Well I will start posting again. Yeah! I apologize for not blogging lately. Here are some reason why I haven't bee up to date.
1. Christmas/Holidays
2. My grandpa passed away on January 6, 2010 at the age of 80.
3. Family in town
4. Snow and more snow in Kansas City
5. My job blocked from getting into blogging and social networking sites. (frustrating)

This week at the Kiehl's house we are gearing up for the Mom's 2 Moms Sale at Liberty United Methodist Church, Liberty-Missouri. I have organized, priced, hung items on their hangers and put them in the bins. Thanks to Grandma Roxie and Papa Dave for endless nights in helping me get things in order. I honestly could not do my crazy life with out my lovely parents. Thanks so much. If your at the the sale this weekend come see me.. I have items from 3months-24 months and toys.

Emory got a chance to ride the little train in Atchison last weekend with her dad. Papa Gene was driving the engine. Emory wasn't for sure about it but then got use to the nosies from the engine. We also spent the day at Oktoberfest in Atchison. We ate at Taco John's, bought Emory a walking duck, ate funnel cakes, took a Walmart trip, saw aunt katie and uncle luke and enjoy the fall October weekend. Happy October!!!!!

Saturday morning we ended up hanging out with Kiehl side of the family. Below you will see pictures of our weekend in St. Joe. We stayed at the Ramada Inn Hotel, attended Rachel and Jeff's wedding, swam at pool and ate some good food at Wiskey Creek.

Last weekend my sister in-law Katie got married to Luke Vollmer. Long time coming! We spent the whole weekend up in Fall City, Nebraska and Rulo, Nebraska for the wedding. Emory was the flower girl during the wedding ceremony. She did so well. She was not at all interested in walking down the aisle. In Tipton, we stayed at the Twin Peaks Motel....ohhh, take us all back to the 50's! The motel was a little gross but we survived. We had a better time at the winery and dancing at the reception. Congrats to our friends Michelle and Andy on their wedding.

Well we are now into December 1, 2008. This past weekend we celebrated Emory being 8 months old with pumpkin pie and brownies. We adventured out to the stores on black Friday.. we actually found some good deals at Kohl's... yeah for 50% off of toys! Yesterday, (Sunday) we had Shawn's family over for lunch. They got to visit with Emory. We are truely blessed with great family.

This past weekend Shawn, Emory and I got up and adventured out to Oak Park Mall. We got some Christmas shopping done. Emory did fantastic in her stroller and only got fussy at the bathroom while changing her. We ate at our favorite place McAlister off of Ward Parkway. Good Morning!!!!
Emory was all geared up for Halloween.
Today she wore her orange/black booties and hair bow made from grandma Roxie.
Then tonight she is going to be a Tulip.
We are celebrating my dad's birthday this evening with trunk/treat and chili at a friends house.
